Call For Program Submissions for NAPABA 2007 Convention
Planning is underway for the 2007 Annual NAPABA Convention which will be held at the JW Marriott Resort and Spa in the Las Vegas area. All requests will be reviewed by the Program Committee and programs selected will be announced by April 30, 2007. Deadline for submissions is Friday, March 30, 2007.

A few things to keep in mind:

  1. Keep it practical, "non-basic", substantively leading edge, and truly informative (give the speakers a forum to show that they are EXPERTS in the field).
  2. Speakers should be leading lawyers in their field, as well as leading business personalities, academics and government officials. Bottom line: pick speakers that you would be willing to take time out of your busy schedule to hear.
  3. Interactive formats anchored by a STRONG moderator are preferred.
  4. 60-minute programs are preferred.
  5. For the purposes of your Program Submission, availability and willingness of the proposed speakers do not need to be confirmed. For example, a speaker listed as "Ms. YXZ, Partner, MegaFirm & Partners, Tokyo, Japan (to be invited)" is acceptable. The more complete your proposed speaker list is, however, the more we'll have to evaluate the merits of your submission.

Questions should be directed to Ruthe_Ashley@CalPERS.ca.gov.
